Teachers are so important in the lives of children. Teachers are those that work with infants, toddlers, preschool and school age children. These people we call teachers do so much from providing experiences that develop brains, strengthen muscles, and encourage the development of social/emotional skills. I have been busy this week recognizing teachers and encouraging others to talk about why teachers are so important. What I learned is that in addition to the work mentioned above, teachers are also busy mentoring and teaching others that work with children. They mentioned that teachers are invested in making sure children are proficient at skills appropriate for their age. We all know that a teacher’s work is never done. They are continually planning and investing in the lives of the children they work with. The work tirelessly and hopefully they are recognized whether in thought, word or deed.
