Thinking Outside the Box

Sometime early childhood professionals get place or place themselves inside the box called “What A Teacher Should Be”. Sometimes teachers have the feeling that they have been put inside a box. They feel they are expected to do things a certain way. Sometimes that leads to a lessening of creativity and they begin to forget about all of the possibilities. They sometimes realize that they have lost the excitement of creating exciting activities for their classrooms. Sometimes I see teachers remember the possibilities of creating lesson plans that are rich because they expand activities to include multiple levels of learning. Let’s help early childhood professionals keep their creativity fresh; let’s stop pushing that creativity down by placing such a burden on them with the mundane tasks. Let Teachers Think Outside the Box and do what they know is best for young children.
